The Medical Director oversees a department that provides direct patient medical care for all ages and levels of need. He is responsible for hiring MCHC physicians, who ensure access to round-the-clock care through on-call rotation and the exercise of hospital staff privileges.

Staff specialties include internal medicine, general family practice, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, addiction medicine, HIV/AIDS care and chiropractic services.

In-house contracted specialty services include gastroenterology, dermatology, podiatry, surgery and orthopedics. Specialty care is offered via contracted specialty providers or through referrals.
