Local dentist offers seminar for medical and dental community
UKIAH - The single most prevalent disease of childhood, tooth decay is the leading causes of children’s school absences. Often neglected in the children’s system of well care, correctly diagnosing and treating oral health problems significantly improves a child’s overall health and wellbeing.
To educate the medical and dental community, Doug Lewis, DDS, Vice President for Dentistry at Mendocino Community Health Clinic, Inc. (MCHC) will offer a free seminar to medical practitioners and to local children’s health advocates in Mendocino County.
The seminar will be held on Wed., Dec. 7, from 8-9 am, in the Main Conference Room at Hillside Health Center, 333 Laws Ave., Ukiah. At the same time, the session will be videoconferenced to MCHC’s Willits center, Little Lake Health Center, located at 45 Hazel St., in Willits. Medical professionals attending can obtain one free hour of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit. For more information, contact Becky Driscoll, MCHC Dental Manager at 472-4558.
