Bonnie Carter, John Slonecker and Cyril Colonius join MCHC Board of Directors
UKIAH – Mendocino Community Health Clinic, Inc. (MCHC) welcomes Mrs. Bonnie Carter, Mr. John Slonecker and Mr. Cyril Colonius to its governing board. These new members bring an interest in local health care and a diversified set of skills to their service.
In commenting about her service, Mrs. Bonnie Carter said, “I know MCHC’s busy clinics provide medical care, dental and counseling services for many County residents. Their staff of 240 people makes up an extraordinarily caring community, and it is my privilege to be able to work with them.” Mr. John Slonecker said, “I have wanted to serve an organization that I knew to be responsive to the most fundamental needs of our community. I believe MCHC is making such a contribution, and I am honored to participate.” Mr. Cyril Colonius said, “I share MCHC’s interest in meeting the needs of underserved communities. As the Executive Director of Mendocino County AIDS Volunteer Network, I have personal experience about the positive impact MCHC has in the lives of those facing difficult challenges.”
In discussing the new appointments, MCHC President Lin Hunter comments, “Making sure that MCHC serves our communities’ needs is a collaborative undertaking, and our Board serves as a significant connection to our community. We are honored that Bonnie Carter, John Slonecker and Cyril Colonius have volunteered for this important work.”
