Spanish-language prenatal education classes held in Ukiah

UKIAH – Care for Her, a women’s health center located in Ukiah, is offering two prenatal education classes for Spanish-speaking parents. On June 6, the topic will be “Breastfeeding Basics.” Because breastfeeding provides the best nutrition for newborns, this class helps families understand the art of breastfeeding and gives parents tips about handling problems that may interfere with successful breastfeeding. The second class, held on June 20, informs families about “Newborn Safety.” Accidents are the leading cause of injury to children and this class teaches families how to prevent hazards from harming their little ones.

Both classes begin at 6 pm on Tuesday evenings. Care for Her is located 333 Laws Ave., Ukiah. Registration is required. Call 472-4603 to register.
