LAKEPORT - Lakeside Health Center announces that family practice physician Bruce P. Barnett, MD, has joined their staff. Dr. Barnett graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1975, and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Barnett comes to Lake County from Los Angeles, where he practiced general and family medicine for nearly 20 years. He has been a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians since 1979 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

In commenting on his new position at Lakeside, he says, “There is no greater responsibility or privilege than to provide a person with his or her medical care. Meeting patients makes my day.”

Dr. Barnett has long been a contributing editor for Highways Magazine (official publication of the Good Sam Club), writing health-related columns ever since he first traveled by RV with his wife and two sons in the early 1980s. He children are now grown, and his wife of 31 years, Ricki, will join him at their new home in Kelseyville.
