Hillside Health Center physician publishes bilingual medical dictionary
UKIAH - Mendocino Community Health Clinic, Inc. (MCHC) proudly announces that Glenn T. Rogers, MD, has completed the 3rd edition of his English-Spanish Spanish-English Medical Dictionary. The dictionary is published by McGraw-Hill.
The pocket-sized reference work contains virtually all health-related terms likely to occur in a conversation between a health worker and a Spanish-speaking patient, including many difficult-to-translate terms such as peer group, significant other and skilled nursing facility. Typical medical conversations covering a number of common complaints are presented in an appendix. With over 20,000 entries, the dictionary has grown by more than 5,000 terms since the last edition in 1997. Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Rogers has been in practice at Hillside Health Center for 9 years.
