Howard Memorial Hospital receives Helping Hand Award
WILLITS – Mendocino Community Health Clinic, Inc. (MCHC) proudly announces that Howard Hospital is the 2006 recipient of its Helping Hand Award. Howard Hospital is being recognized for its outstanding contribution to the health of those in the Willits area who have limited access to health care. The award will be presented on Wednesday, November 15, at a luncheon hosted at Little Lake Health Center, 45 Hazel Street. Kevin Erich, MBA, FACHE, will accept the award on behalf of the hospital’s Board and staff. Little Lake Health Center is one of three health centers operated by the local, nonprofit MCHC.
Since the opening of Little Lake Health Center in 2002, Howard Hospital has provided strong support to Little Lake patients in various ways—through its excellent laboratory and radiology services, its responsive emergency room staff and its continuing commitment to providing care for patients challenged by economic barriers. Additionally, Howard Hospital has created an environment that supports excellent customer service; its staff demonstrates an enthusiastic spirit of collaboration that fosters health in the entire Willits community. This is an extraordinary achievement and Little Lake Health Center celebrates the leadership that has made this possible.
MCHC’s mission is to provide access to quality health services for the most vulnerable people in our community. Its annual Helping Hand Award recognizes community partners making a significant contribution to the health of MCHC’s community of patients. ###
