Gerald Chaney, RN, MPA, named to MCHC Board
UKIAH – Gerald Chaney, Vice President of Patient Care at Ukiah Valley Medical Center (UVMC) has been elected to the Board at Mendocino Community Health Clinic, Inc. (MCHC). In speaking about Mr. Chaney’s induction, MCHC CEO Lin Hunter says, “I could not be happier with the Board’s decision. Jerry worked for MCHC for nearly five years. He understands our mission and our services very well, and his extensive knowledge of health care will be a strong asset on the board. As well, he is a friend and, in the currently troubled healthcare environment, his knowledgeable leadership will help keep MCHC focused on meeting our community’s most crucial healthcare needs.”
Mr. Chaney comments, “Having worked at MCHC, I understand and support the organization’s mission. Also, appreciate the work and skill that MCHC staff brings to the task of providing healthcare to those who may be vulnerable and have difficulty accessing health care. I also believe that UVMC and MCHC can collaborate to strengthen the healthcare delivery system for Mendocino and Lake Counties, while providing high quality patient care. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with the MCHC Team once again.”
A graduate of the University of San Francisco, Chaney holds a Masters of Public Administration degree in Health Services Administration, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regents College and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Pacific Union College.
