September 30, 2008 Free movie showing: The Business of Being Born UKIAH – Birth is a miracle, a natural part of life...and big business! Cesarean section is the most commonly performed surgery in the US, at a cost of $14 billion per year. In the film The Business of Being Born, the childbirth industry is examined. The film also informs viewers about birth choices and educates them on the role of Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNM) in providing expert childbirth services and in promoting women’s health. The showing is free to the public; it will be held at 7 pm on Tuesday. October, 14 at Hillside Health Center, 333 Laws Avenue, Ukiah.
