Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Job Summary

MCHC Health Centers has three open positions for Family Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to work as part of a dynamic primary care team, in our community health centers.  If you would enjoy having your own patient panel and consulting with colleagues on challenging cases, this practice will excite you!

Position #1:  Permanent, Regular Full-Time, All Sites:  This provider will work at all three of our clinic locations which include Ukiah, Lakeport and Willits, California.    The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 and will include a Saturday rotation at one of our clinics (no more than 1x every other month).

Position #2:  Permanent, Regular Full-Time, Lakeport:  This provider will work Monday through Friday at Lakeview Health Center, in Lakeport

Position #3:  Permanent, Regular Full-Time, Ukiah:  This provider will work Monday through Friday at Hillside Health Center, in Ukiah.  

Responsibilities include performing basic screening, diagnostic treatment, and rehabilitative & supportive services as a member of a primary health care team.  Under general direction and supervision of a licensed Physician, the provider will:

  • Assess and manage the medical care needs of patients in an integrated primary care setting;
  • Perform physical examinations and minor procedures;
  • Interpret laboratory and other diagnostic tests;
  • Make routine diagnosis of injury or illness and arrange consultation as required;
  • And, perform other related work duties as required.

Status: Exempt

Excellent salary (DOE) & Benefits / Eligible to apply for STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT with the National Health Service Corps

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited program
  • Furnishing license and DEA number
  • Requires FNP/PA California License and BLS
  • Two or more years' experience in primary care medicine preferred
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
