Free HIV Testing - June 26, 2015

June 2015

In honor of National HIV Testing Day, Mendocino Community Health Clinic (MCHC) has teamed up with Community Care HIV AIDS Program (CCHAP) on Friday, June 26 to provide free, anonymous HIV testing, as well as no-cost, confidential HIV testing at five locations throughout Lake and Mendocino Counties.

The only way to know if you have HIV is to get tested. Many people with HIV do not have any symptoms. In fact, in the United States, it is estimated that one in seven people living with HIV do not know they have it. Therefore, it is recommended that ALL adults in the United States get tested for HIV at least once, regardless of risk factors.

For those with HIV, even for those who do not feel sick or have symptoms, getting early treatment is important. Early treatment can help people with HIV live a longer, healthier life. Treatment can also make it less likely that those with HIV will pass it on to other people.

Free, anonymous HIV testing is available at the following locations on Friday, June 26:

8050-A Lake Street

Lower Lake, CA  95457

205 S. Main Street
