Mendocino Community Health Clinic Provides Free Dental Care to Children

February 2012

Mendocino Community Health Clinic (MCHC) continues its tradition of caring for the most vulnerable people in our community by participating in the annual Give Kids a Smile Day. On the first Saturday of February, dental staff from all three sites (in Ukiah, Willits and Lakeport) volunteer their time to provide free dental care to children who could not otherwise afford it.

“We’ve been doing Give Kids a Smile Day for years,” said Dental Manager Becky Driscoll. “It’s amazing how grateful the patients are. Last year we provided thousands of dollars worth of free care.”

Each year on the first Friday in February, thousands of the nation's dentists and their dental team members provide free oral health care services to children from low-income families across the country.
